Thousands of pounds worth of drugs seized in Highlands

A total of £117,205 worth of illegal drugs were seized in the Highlands over the past week, Police Scotland has said.

Seventeen people have also been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with drugs offences.

The seizures and reports followed searches of properties in Inverness, Nairn, Ross-shire and Caithness.

The raids formed part of Operation Ram, Police Scotland's ongoing effort to tackle drug abuse in communities.
