Two women seriously injured in A9 crash near Delny

Two women have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A9 in the Highlands.

The two-car collision happened near Delny, Invergordon, just before 13:30 on Sunday.

Police said a woman driving a blue Ford Fiesta and a female passenger in a blue Honda civic were taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The Honda driver received minor injuries.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the cars beforehand.

They also want to speak to the driver of a light blue or silver Audi A3 which may have been in the area at the time.
