Ski resorts pinning hopes on half term school break
Scotland's five mountain snowsports centres hope the coming half term school break will be one of their busiest periods of the latest season.
Ski-Scotland, the body that promotes snowsports in Scotland, said this winter had involved "some strange weather patterns".
This has included spells of cold temperatures and snow followed by milder conditions and gale force winds.
All five sites, including Nevis Range and Lecht, were open.
The other centres are CairnGorm Mountain, Glencoe Mountain and Glenshee.
Heather Negus, chairwoman of Ski-Scotland, said: "We expect half term to be one of the busiest periods of the winter."
