Health board fills GP vacancies after campaign

NHS Highland has filled 12 GP vacancies following a recruitment campaign started a year ago.

The health board has faced challenges in recruiting doctors to posts in remote and rural areas.

It has filled the 12 positions a year after hiring a marketing company to help it find suitable candidates.

NHS Highland said it was difficult to attribute all the appointments to this move but said it played a major part in attracting GPs to its area.
