Buckinghamshire man who died after fall from canoe named

A man who died after falling from a canoe into a Highland river on 31 December has been named.

Police Scotland said Petrus Janse Van Rensburg, 36, was from Buckinghamshire.

He died in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after he and an 18-year-old man got into difficulty in the River Garry near Invergarry.

The younger man was later discharged from hospital.
