The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup has generated £30m for Fort William and the surrounding area, the organisers of the event's Scottish stage have said.

The millions of pounds were raised over 14 years of the competition being held at Nevis Range.

Stages of the world cup have been held at the snowsports centre near Fort William since 2002.

Organisers Rare Management have confirmed the dates for next year's competitions as 4 to 6 June.

The Lochaber stages form the third in line of seven world cup international events held from April to September.
