A9 reopened from near Aviemore to Inverness
The A9 has been reopened after being closed from Granish near Aviemore to Inverness to allow snowploughs to clear the road, Traffic Scotland has said.
Police Scotland said heavy snowfalls have made driving difficult on the stretch between Tomatin, near Inverness, and the city.
Motorists have been urged to check Traffic Scotland's website for updates on conditions on the A9.
Snow and ice have been affecting other routes in the Highlands.
