Lorry death cyclist Anna Roots was on a charity ride

A woman cyclist killed in a collision with an articulated lorry in Sutherland at the weekend was on a charity ride.

Anna Roots, 34, from London was taking part in a 12-day charity cycle ride from Lands End to John O'Groats.

She and a friend were raising money for leukaemia and lymphoma research.

The accident happened at about 15:15 on Saturday on a stretch of the A836 at Bettyhill.
