Rescue effort after walker hurt in fall in Strathconon

A woman has been injured while walking in Strathconon in the Highlands.

It was understood that the 55-year-old has broken a leg in a fall. The alarm was raised at 12:55.

Police Scotland said members of Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team were carrying the woman off a hill to below low cloud level.

A search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth was expected to take the woman to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.
