Caithness wind farm appeal approved
A 13-turbine wind farm in Caithness has been given the go-ahead on appeal.
Highland councillors refused planning permission in September last year for the Bad a Cheo Wind Farm at Spittal.
RWE Npower Renewables appealed to the Scottish government against Highland Council's refusal of its planning application.
The government's planning Reporter allowed the appeal and said the scheme, which the developers claim could generate up to 33MW, could go ahead.
The developers said the wind farm could also bring £150,000 a year investment to the local community.
