Plans for hundreds of homes in Nairn approved

Highland councillors have backed plans for a major housing development in Nairn.

Scotia Homes, Barratt North East Scotland and Robertson Homes propose to construct 232 houses and 87 flats on land at Cawdor Road.

Council officials had recommended that the authority's south planning committee grant the project permission.

One of the conditions placed on the scheme is that it is reviewed after the first 100 homes are built.
