Flood damaged Kinlochewe-Gairloch road reopened

Roads staff have reopened a route in the Highlands that was badly damaged by heavy rain earlier in the week.

The 19-mile (30.5km) stretch of the A832 between Kinlochewe and Gairloch was closed on Tuesday.

The road was damaged by floods at Loch Bad na Sgallaig and also at the top of Kerry Falls.

Highland Council said parts of a carriageway over a 25m (82ft) stretch of the road had required to be resurfaced.
