Flood damage closes Kinlochewe-Gairloch road

Roads staff are working to reopen a route in Wester Ross that has been damaged by heavy rain.

The 19-mile (30.5km) stretch of the A832 between Kinlochewe and Gairloch was closed on Tuesday.

The road was damaged by floods at Loch Bad na Sgallaig and also at the top of Kerry Falls.

Highland Council said parts of a carriageway over a 25m (82ft) stretch of the road required to be resurfaced.
