In pictures: Scottish Nature Photography Awards winners

Whale and Dolphin Conservation field officer Charlie Phillips, of North Kessock, has been named Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2012. Mr Phillips' image, Up for Air, is of a young bottlenose dolphin. It also won the Scottish wildlife category
Fergus Mackay, of Inverness, won the Scottish Nature Photography Awards' landscape category with Coast Guard. Mr Mackay captured a sunrise at sea stacks and a cliff wall on the Caithness coast
The natural abstract winner was Cath Scott, from Glasgow, with her photograph entitled Sunlight and Smoke
Corinne Fudge, of Orkney, won the Scottish botanical category with Blooming Orkney, an image of daisies on a beach in South Ronaldsay
A red deer provided Charles Everitt, of Edinburgh, with his subject for In A Tangle, which won the environmental prize
Sian Venables, of East Dunbartonshire, is the Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2012 after capturing this image called Hover
The student photographer of the year prize went to Peter Ferguson for his portfolio of three images entitled Winter Machair
Peter's images captured changing scenes at machair - coastal meadows - on North Uist in the Western Isles
Peter is a BA fine art student at Lews Castle College UHI
