Missing Skye woman dies after being found on shore

A woman whose disappearance sparked searches on the west of Skye has died after she was found on a shore near her home.

Moira Ewbank, 77, was reported missing after leaving her home in Harlosh at 01:00.

Police said she was found at about 08:30 and airlifted to Skye's Broadford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 08:50.

Police, mountain rescuers, coastguard and dogs were involved in the search.
