RNLI images of RAF jet crash site
A Tornado jet from RAF Lossiemouth crashed in the sea off the west coast of Scotland on Thursday. Its two crew ejected from the aircraft and were rescued
The RNLI have released images taken by Stornoway lifeboat crew of wreckage from the crashed jet in the Minch, near Gairloch
Stornoway and Portree lifeboat crews were sent to the scene along with Stornoway coastguard helicopter, which airlifted the jet's pilot and navigator to hospital
While the lifeboat crew managed to recover parts of the jet floating on the surface, a Royal Navy mine hunter has been searching for wreckage on the seabed
