First Monster Challenge raises £188,000 for charities

A 120km relay cycle and running duathlon held around Loch Ness and Inverness raised £188,000 for charities.

Athlete Sally Gunnell and former Scotland rugby international Gavin Hastings led teams in September's First Monster Challenge.

The organisers, transport company FirstGroup, said more than 1,000 competitors took part.

Plans are already being made for next year's contest.
