Man shot in Glasgow flat by masked attackers
A 42-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot by two masked men who had forced their way into a flat in Glasgow.
The incident, which is being treated as attempted murder, happened in Wellshot Road, Shettleston, at about 20:10 on Saturday.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he was being treated for serious injuries.
Police are looking for two men who ran out of the flat after the incident.
They got into a small, dark car that was parked outside and left the scene.
Det Insp Alasdair Barlow, from Police Scotland, said: "We believe that this was not a random attack and that the victim was the intended target.
"Nevertheless, a team of detectives and specialist officers are currently in the area carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
"It is vital that we catch those responsible for this despicable act of violence and I appeal to members of the public to come forward with any information, however slight it might appear, in order that we can identify the men involved and hold them accountable for their actions."
