A teenager has appeared in court over claims he used a crossbow to rob an upmarket store.
Ciaran Johnstone allegedly brandished the weapon at the House of Fraser in Glasgow's Buchanan Street on 12 December.
The 18-year-old appeared at the city's sheriff court charged with the theft of four handbags and an assault on a man in nearby St Enoch Square .
He also faced charges relating to a crossbow and a claw hammer.
Johnstone, of the city's Roystonhill, made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He will return to court at a later date.
