Cyclist seriously injured after being hit by car
A cyclist has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire.
Police said the man was cycling along the A82 from the Kilbowie Roundabout at about midday when he was struck by a Vauxhall Mokka car near the off slip road towards the Erskine Bridge.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition has been described as serious.
The car driver was not injured. Police have appealed for witnesses.
The road was closed and diversions put in place while crash investigators examined the scene.
Police are appealing to drivers who were on the A82 and witnessed the accident to contact them.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dash cam footage.
