Bus completely destroyed by fire near Motherwell

A single-decker bus has been completely destroyed after catching fire in a village in North Lanarkshire.

Fire crews were called to the incident on High Street in Newarthill, near Motherwell, just after 13:00 but the bus was well alight by the time they arrived.

It is understood no-one was injured in the incident.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
