The attack took place in the Royal Scot bar in Union Street at about 23:30 on Saturday 1 October.

The 36-year-old victim suffered "sustained injuries" and had to be treated in hospital.

The man police want to trace is described as white and in his mid-to-late 30s.

Det Con Kieran Guy, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: "A violent assault like this within Glasgow city centre cannot be tolerated and we seek the assistance of the public in tracking down those responsible."
