Armed man in hi-vis jacket with pink bag robs Glasgow store
An armed robber wearing a hi-vis jacket and carrying a pink shoulder bag escaped with a four-figure sum of money from a Spar shop in Glasgow.
Two members of staff were threatened by the man during the raid in Dorchester Avenue, Kelvindale, at around 20:30 on Thursday.
The robber, who was wearing a dark-coloured balaclava or scarf across his face, made off in a white van.
He is described as 6ft tall, with a heavy, stocky build.
He was wearing a grey hooded top, high-vis jacket and gloves and white Nike trainers.
Police Scotland said officers were reviewing CCTV images for additional information and carrying out door-to-door inquiries.
Det Sgt Raymond Hunter said: "This man made every effort to conceal his identity.
"Our inquiries so far have revealed that he was hanging about outside the shop prior to the incident.
"Given the fact he was wearing hi-vis clothing, people may have thought he was a workman of some sort, but in fact his intention was to rob the store.
"I'm appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident to contact us.
"Perhaps you saw the man and the van and thought nothing of it. But if you did see him, you might be able to provide us with vital information which could assist our inquiry."
