Schoolboy injured after being hit by car in Clydebank

A schoolboy is being treated in hospital after being knocked down by a car in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident, on Dumbarton Road, at about 08:30 on Wednesday.

The boy was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known.

Part of Dumbarton Road has been closed while police carry out an investigation into the crash.
