Police response probed after man's death in Glasgow

An investigation is to be carried out into how police handled an incident where a 31-year-old died in Glasgow.

The man was found ill in the city on 24 August. He was treated at the scene but died on his way to hospital.

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service wants the the circumstances surrounding the man's death reviewed.

The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner will now look at the initial police response after concerns were raised about the man's welfare.

The commissioner will report any findings back to the Crown Office.
