Teenagers charged with attempted murder after Paisley attack

Two teenage girls have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was seriously injured in an incident in Paisley in Renfrewshire.

A 39-year-old man was attacked as he walked in Forbes Place at about 20:25 on Saturday.

Two girls, aged 16 and 15, made no plea or declaration when they appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court.

The 16-year-old was remanded in custody, while the 15-year-old was released on bail.

They also faced charges of assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life.

The case against them was continued for prosecutors to investigate further. No future court dates were set.
