Woman hit by car at pedestrian crossing in Glasgow

A 19-year-old woman is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.

The incident, involving a black car, happened as the teenager was at a pedestrian crossing on Springburn Road, near Petershill Road, at about 10:25.

She is being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where her condition is described as serious but stable.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to get in touch.
