One of two girls hit by vehicle in serious condition

One of two girls who were knocked down in Glasgow's west end remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Police said the girls, aged 12 and 13, were struck by a vehicle on Great Western Road, at Kelvinbridge, just before 17:00 on Wednesday.

Both were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the 13-year-old was later discharged. The 12-year-old girl remains in a serious condition.

Police said investigations into the crash were ongoing.
