Police name schoolboy killed by van in Glasgow

Police have released the name of a five-year-old boy who died after being hit by a van in Glasgow.

Lennon Toland, from the city's Tollcross area, was struck by a white Ford Transit van in Dalness Street, Shettleston, at about 15:15 on Monday.

The St Paul's Primary School pupil was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died a short time later. The 62-year-old van driver was not injured.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident to contact them.
