Fire at derelict flats in Bonhill was 'deliberate'
Police are treating a fire which broke out at a derelict block of flats in West Dunbartonshire as deliberate.
Emergency services were called to the scene, in O'Hare, Bonhill, at about 00:15 on Tuesday.
The blaze caused extensive damage to the building before it was extinguished. No one was injured.
Police said officers were studying CCTV footage from the local area and have appealed for witnesses who saw anything suspicious near the flats.
Det Sgt Darren Munogee said: "At this time we are continuing our investigation to trace whoever is responsible for this incident.
"We have been carrying out inquiries in the local area and studying CCTV footage to gather more information on this crime.
"I would ask if anyone witnessed anything suspicious, or has any information that will assist our inquiries to contact Clydebank Police Office."
