Two men arrested over £150,000 drugs haul in Motherwell

Two men have been arrested after drugs worth an estimated £150,000 were seized in a police operation in Lanarkshire.

The drugs, believed to be heroin, were discovered after police stopped and searched a car in Jerviston Street, Motherwell, at about 15:30 on Friday.

A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Officers also searched a house in Jerviston Street and a property in Langa Street, Glasgow, in connection with the same operation.

A quantity of cash was recovered and a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.

The men are expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
