Two arrested after major drug seizures in Glasgow

Two people have been arrested after hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of drugs were seized in Glasgow.

Officers recovered about 750,000 diazepam tablets, with an estimated street value of £376,000, after searching two vehicles in Lomond Street, Possilpark, on Friday morning.

They also seized amphetamine paste, worth about £2,500, and herbal cannabis, worth an estimated £8,000.

Cash was also recovered following a search of two houses in Glasgow.

The properties were in Egilsay Crescent and Ashgill Road.

A 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the seizures.

Both are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
