Stuart Gray faces jail for attempted murder stabbing

A man who carried out a brutal stabbing at a friend's home in East Ayrshire has admitted a charge of attempted murder.

Stuart Gray, 25, attacked Derek Little at the flat in Galston in October last year after his friend had problems getting people to leave.

The High Court in Glasgow heard that the victim suffered 18 stab wounds, requiring his spleen to be removed. He may need medication for life.

Gray, from Kilmarnock, was remanded in custody. Sentence was deferred.
