Man jailed after air freshener fail over cannabis smell

A man who was caught with a large quantity of cannabis at a flat in Glasgow after trying to mask its smell with air freshener has been jailed.

Brian Stuart, 30, was caught with 12kg of herbal cannabis and 7kg of cannabis resin at the flat in Riddrie on 1 September this year.

Officers forced entry after noticing the smells and saw Stuart take off latex gloves with the drugs in view.

Stuart was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison.

At the High Court in Glasgow, he was also ordered to serve the remaining four months from a previous sentence.
