Viagra claim heroin courier Euan Johnston jailed

A drug courier who claimed he was carrying Viagra before being caught with £2m of heroin has been jailed for six years and six months.

Euan Johnston was arrested at a car park near Partick Thistle's Firhill Stadium in Glasgow on 9 June this year.

The 42 year-old initially claimed claimed he had Viagra in his bag but officers found brown taped packages.

Johnston, from Glasgow's Maryhill area, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug.

Jailing him at the High Court in Glasgow, judge Lady Rae told Johnston: "You chose to become involved in this purely for financial reasons."
