Sonoo Yaqoob faces trial over Glasgow rape charges

A man is to stand trial over alleged sex attacks against women in Glasgow.

Sonoo Yaqoob, 20, is said to have raped a woman at a secondary school and at a cinema in 2011. He is also accused of three separate assaults against her.

He also faces five rape allegations against another woman, including at a hospital. They are said to have taken place between 2012 and 2013.

At the High Court in Glasgow, Mr Yaqoob pleaded not guilty to the charges and a trial date was set for a later date.

Mr Yaqoob also faces four other charges of assaulting the second woman and a final allegation of leaving his alleged victim in "fear and alarm" by contacting her.
