Police probe attempted murder fight in Glasgow

Police area treating an attack on a man - who was one of two people injured in a fight outside a Glasgow tower block - as attempted murder.

The fight involved three men outside the Waddell Court flats in the city's Gorbals area at about 20:00 on Sunday.

A 50-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital. A 34-year-old man was released from hospital after treatment for his injuries.

Police are attempting to trace a third man who fled from the scene.

The 50-year-old man who was seriously injured is described as white, with blond hair.

Men's descriptions

At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey tracksuit.

The 34-year-old man who was injured is described as having a large scar on his face.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark hooded top.

The man who fled from the scene on a bicycle is described as white and younger than the other two men.

At the time, he was wearing a wearing a dark hooded top. It is not known if he was injured.

Det Con Claire Anderson, of Police Scotland, said: "We are still trying to establish the exact circumstances of this incident and also trace the third man involved.

"After viewing CCTV of the area we know that a man and woman walked past the on-going fight and it is vital that they contact police as soon as possible as they could provide crucial information."
