Men held after Prestwick to Ibiza flight disturbance
A number of men have been detained by Spanish police following disturbances on a flight from Prestwick to Ibiza at the weekend.
A spokesman for Ryanair said a group of passengers became disruptive during flight FF694 on Saturday.
Flight crew requested police assistance on arrival at Ibiza Airport and a number of people were detained before other passengers disembarked.
Ryanair has apologised for the incident and said safety was its top priority.
Ryanair spokesman Robin Kiely said: "Ryanair crew operating flight FR694 from Glasgow Prestwick to Ibiza on 3 August requested police assistance on arrival at Ibiza Airport after a group of passengers became disruptive in-flight.
"Police removed and detained a number of individuals from the aircraft before other passengers disembarked.
"Ryanair sincerely apologises to other passengers for any inconvenience caused, but the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for the police."
