Man arrested in Motherwell over £76,000 cannabis raid

A man has been arrested after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £76,000 were seized from a house in North Lanarkshire.

Officers from Strathclyde Police, acting under warrant, searched the house in Talisman Crescent, Motherwell, at about 17:15 on Thursday.

They arrested a 27-year-old man, who is currently in custody, after discovering the cannabis plants.

The man is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
