Fire attack suspect shown on CCTV in Barrhead
Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace over two fire attacks in East Renfrewshire.
The first incident saw flammable liquid was poured over a car, in the driveway of a house, in Fintry Crescent, Barrhead, at about 22:30 on 10 October.
The second incident saw the same car set on fire while parked at the same location at about 22:10 on 5 November.
No one was injured during the incidents. Police have asked anyone who recognises the suspect to get in touch.
The CCTV images were captured during the second incident.
They show a man who is described as of slim build and wearing a green hooded top with dark-coloured toggles. He was also wearing Adidas Samba trainers.
Det Sgt Jane Drysdale, of Strathclyde Police, said: "Luckily no one has been injured as a result of any of these crimes.
"Police are linking these incidents and I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images to contact police as a matter of urgency.
"It is imperative that the person responsible is identified and apprehended before a member of the public is seriously hurt."
