Body recovered from River Clyde

A body has been recovered from the River Clyde in central Glasgow, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the scene, near the Science Centre, at about 10:10 on Monday.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said a police boat was used to recover the body from the water.

She was unable to say at this stage whether the death was suspicious. Police are still at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
