Woman's body found close to River Clyde in Glasgow

Police have said they are treating the death of a woman whose body was found near the River Clyde in Glasgow as "unexplained".

Strathclyde Police said officers were called to Napier Drive in the Govan area at about 08:45.

Fire, police and ambulance crews attended as efforts were made to recover the body. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
