Last day for £3.6m lottery jackpot claim

Time is running out for the winner of a £3.6m National Lottery jackpot to claim their prize money.

The winning ticket has been unclaimed since being bought at a shop in the South Lanarkshire area on 12 May.

The name of the shop will not be released in case it jeopardises the potential winner's anonymity.

If the prize is not claimed by 23:00 on Thursday it will be donated to good causes. The winning numbers are 1, 5, 18, 21, 23, 33. The Bonus Ball was 20.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "The deadline is almost upon us but we're still hopeful that the £3.6m ticket-holder will come forward at the last moment.

"We have, with the help of the press, done as much as we can to raise awareness of this amazing prize in the hope of prompting the unknown winner to come forward and claim their jackpot before it is too late.

"We remain hopeful that someone will come forward at the last minute to claim, however in the event that the winner does not come forward, the money and the interest it has earned will be donated to The National Lottery Good Causes."
