Armed police end house siege in Cranhill, Glasgow

Armed police have safely negotiated down an incident in which a man barricaded himself into a house in the north of Glasgow.

Officers from Strathclyde Police were called to the property in Startpoint Street, in the city's Cranhill area, at about 07:55 on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old man's family were removed from the house and the street was sealed off for several hours.

The man surrendered at 12:40. No one was injured during the incident.
