Power restored to homes after line fault in Argyll and Bute

Thousands of households have had their power restored after a fault hit supplies in Argyll and Bute.

Homes first lost power at about 18:30 when about 22,000 customers were affected.

Scottish Hydro Electric said a transmission fault was to blame and that engineers had rerouted supplies. Power was restored at about 20:30.

Homes north of the Campbeltown area had been affected along with some islands, including Arran and Islay.
