Sharkey fire murders: Funeral held for Thomas Senior
A funeral service has taken place for a man who was murdered along with his son and daughter in a deliberate fire at their home in Helensburgh.
Thomas Sharkey Snr, 55, died six days after his family's home in Scott Court was set alight on 24 July.
About 300 people attended the funerals of Bridget, eight, and her 21-year-old brother Thomas Jnr last Friday.
The only survivor of the fire was the wife and mother of the victims, 46-year-old Angela Sharkey.
A humanist service for Thomas Snr, who died of pneumonia caused by smoke inhalation, was held on Monday at Cardross Crematorium in Dumbarton.
The funeral cortege passed through the Sharkeys' home town beforehand.
A bunch of red roses lay on top of the coffin and a lone piper played as the hearse entered the crematorium where about 500 mourners had gathered to pay their respects.
The service for Mr Sharkey was led by Sheena Johnstone and began with the song Rhythm Of My Heart by Rod Stewart.
The end of the service was marked with You'll Never Walk Alone by Gerry And The Pacemakers, then a large round of applause.
Mrs Sharkey was comforted by family members as she left the third funeral for her family in four days.
