Mr Mathieson died after being stabbed
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed in a street in South Lanarkshire.
George Mathieson died after being attacked in Howieshill Road, near Glebe Place in Kirkhill, near Cambuslang, at about 1330 GMT on Wednesday.
A 20-year-old man has been detained and is in police custody, Strathclyde Police said.
A full report will be forwarded to the procurator fiscal, the force said.
Up to four men are believed to have been involved in the incident in which Mr Mathieson died.
Police said his family had been told about the arrest.
