Woman arrested over Braehead heroin seizure


A woman has been arrested after heroin worth thousands of pounds was seized in a raid on a house in Alexandria.

The Class A drug, which police said has an estimated street value of £45,000, was discovered by officers searching a property in Braehead at about 1140 GMT on Saturday.

A 39-year-old is being held and is due to appear in Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.

The Strathclyde force said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
