A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man whose badly decomposed body was found in his Glasgow home.

The remains of Hugh Boyd were found at his housing association flat in Old Dumbarton Road, Yorkhill, on 1 October.

The 57-year-old was originally from Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.

Strathclyde Police said they had now arrested a 27-year-old man. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

It is believed Mr Boyd's body may have lain in his flat for several months.
