Boy, 14, hit by motorbike 'critical' in hospital


A 14-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a motorcycle in Glasgow.

The teenager was hit by the Suzuki bike while crossing Springburn Road, near Charles Street, in the city's Royston area at about 1820 GMT on Sunday.

He is being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The 46-year-old female motorbike rider is also being treated for head and leg injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
